LITLIT Workshop: How to Make a One-Page Comic w/ Nathan Gelgud

Nathan Gelgud is a cartoonist in Los Angeles. His first collection of Reel Politik comic strips, about a gang of rebel popcorn-slingers who take over their single screen movie theater, was published in 2025 by Drawn & Quarterly. Another collection of strips, titled No Concessions!, will be released this October (also from D & Q). Gelgud also makes non-fiction comics about arts and culture for The New York Times, Hyperallergic, The New Yorker, The Paris Review and The New York Review of Books. He teaches comics workshops at Scribble, a non-profit community space in Highland Park, as well as on Zoom. This fall, The Los Angeles Review of Books is offering a six-part series of comics workshops taught by Gelgud.
