Property easing: Tianjin, a major port city in northern China, has abolished all restrictions on home purchases to boost the property sector. The city lifted its remaining curbs on the purchase and resale of residential properties as well as removing price caps on newly built homes. In the past two years nearly all Chinese cities have eased home purchase barriers. Following Tianjin’s move, only Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen and a few cities in Hainan province still maintain some restrictions.
